Preparing for the big event!  I am so thrilled to be a part of  the upcoming Remnants of the Past Vintage Show.  Save this date, October 8 & 9,2011 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.( Sun. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) at the Alex Madonna Expo Center in San Luis Obispo, CA.  (www.remnantsofthepast.com).   This might explain why it has been such a long time between posts as  I have been putting in some long hours of preparation , hunting , sanding , painting, gluing & gilding!  The list goes on and on!  I am having a great time & my mind is spinning with ideas!:)  I can't wait to see all the wonderful creations and displays of hard work all of talented vendors participating in the show!  I had the pleasure of participating in the spring 2007 show at the Dana Powers House were I shared a booth with my friend Diana Frey , you might remember the "Queen Bee Booth".  This time I will be sharing a booth with Sandi Breshied a new acquaintance and very talented display artist that has been doing an incredible job showing her talents for several years now at Ron's in the Grover Beach, Ca., come to find out Sandi & I have similar backgrounds as do alot of my friends.  We have both been shop owners, florists & creating for as long as we can remember! We are going to do our best to squeeze all of our goods in a 10 x 10  space!  Believe me , we have plenty of back stock!  I f you are looking to find us,  we are in booth # 48. We would be honored if you would stop by and say "Hello".

Here are just a few of the projects I have been working on and still under construction!
Hm mm, Carts!
Re-purposed old lumber!
Santon Dolls , Chairs to be upholstered, silver to be cleaned.

Old doors for displays!
Last but not least, a pair of comfy boots for getting around!

There is so much more preparation going on that I would just love to share , but you will just have to come by our booth and see for yourself!
We are just having so much fun & I am sure it will show in our presentation!
Thanks for stopping by,

Happiness

The sum of happiness is made up of a thousand details. A little kindness done one less fortunate gives the heart a beat of pleasure that no millinery or laces or jewels can possibly inspire.
To overcome prejudice is more satisfying than a ten-course dinner.
To subdue a difficulty and smother a selfish disire is to become strong and splendid.
If life is worth living at all, it is worth living in a state of progress and improvement.
If we moan and groan, filling the air with dissatisfaction and gloom, we can scarcely hope to partake of much contentment.
All you need is a good thump on the back by some cheerful soul who has faith in you, and promise to yourself that you will face your work and your worries cheerfully,-(Selected)
